Weight = cross-section area × length × density. Tube, box and angle figures assume sharp corners (no root radius), so rolled-section weights may differ slightly from mill tables. Densities: mild steel 7850, stainless 8000, aluminium 2700 kg/m³. Confirm against the material certificate for critical work.
