Convert engineering units in one step. Enter a value and its unit and the converter shows it in every unit of that category at once: pressure and stress, force, torque, power, energy, volumetric and mass flow, velocity, length, area, volume, mass, density, temperature, viscosity, thermal conductivity, heat transfer coefficient, specific heat, angle, rotational speed, spring rate, second moment of area and section modulus.
What it gives you
- 26 categories covering mechanical, process and thermal work
- Every unit in the category shown at once, with copy buttons
- Temperature scales with offsets, and a separate temperature-difference category
- Selectable significant figures
- Search shortcut: type "25 bar to psi" into the site search
Method and standards
Conversion factors are exact definitions or CODATA and NIST values. Pressure and stress share a category because both are force per area. Temperature converts with its scale offsets, while temperature differences use scale factors only, so a 10 °F difference is 5.56 K rather than 260 K. Hardness scales are deliberately excluded because HRC, HB and HV conversions are non-linear tables rather than factors.
How to use it
- Pick a category and enter the value and unit.
- Read the value in every other unit, or click a row to convert from it.
- Adjust significant figures as needed.
Questions engineers ask
- Can I convert without opening the tool?
- Yes. Type a conversion such as 3000 rpm to rad/s or 150 psi into the site search box.
- Why are pressure and stress together?
- They are the same physical quantity, force per unit area, so MPa, N/mm², bar and psi convert directly.
- Is hardness included?
- No. Hardness scale conversions are empirical tables, so they are left out rather than approximated.
